RIA Annual Review

The Advisers Act requires each registered investment adviser to review its policies and procedures annually to determine their adequacy and the effectiveness of their implementation (Rule 206(4)-7). The annual review must consider compliance matters that arose during the previous year, any changes in your firm’s business activities and any changes in the Advisers Act or applicable regulations.

Determining the adequacy and effectiveness of the implementation of your firm’s policies and procedures can seem like a daunting project. This requires knowledge of regulatory developments and a comprehensive review of your compliance manual, risk assessment, conflicts of interest, disclosure documents, agreements, regulatory filings, monitoring reports, previous audit findings, etc.

Cerulean can save you time by conducting a thorough annual review. Our written report includes a description of areas reviewed, findings and recommendations. Let us help you comply with the rule and keep your policies and procedures up-to-date.
